KUDOS from Kelly

Angie (Sameda) Amegashi:

Angie, it seems, has been with us for years, but in reality it has been only a very busy 14 months. Angie is a truly exceptional caregiver and a remarkable person. She is the fortunate recipient of the “lottery prize “ in her native Ghana, an international award few are blessed to receive. It provides a “fast track “ to permanent status in the US and paves the way for her to become a citizen. But enough about her ambition, intelligence and motivation. Since beginning with us she has taken on only very complicated clients with serious needs for very observant care. Virtually all of the clients for whom she has cared would be residing in nursing homes were it not for her skilled professional care. She has also managed to prevent any trips to the hospital for all of them. Since hospitalization can create even more complications for our clients, it is the one area in which we pride ourselves and where Angie consistently delivers.

She is currently caring for a 96-year-old beautiful lady, AG, who lives in a lovely facility. She requires attentive care but also an interesting and well informed companion who is also a great listener. AG is able to enjoy her surroundings, her friends and the activities at her facility with the help of Angie. She also accompanied her client to her summer home in Maine for several weeks last summer, and the two girls had a really wonderful time. We predict that Angie will do many great works in her life, and we are proud that for now, our company and our clients are the grateful recipients.

Thanks Angie!

All caregivers mentioned in this column will receive a gift card and our sincere appreciation! Many many thanks to all of you for once again extending yourselves to ensure that we are of course Always There…!! ■
